Do you accept insurance?
At this time, we are not in network with any insurance plans. Art of Speech provides private pay speech and language therapy services. Please contact your insurance provider to discuss your plan's coverage and reimbursment policies for out of network services.
Is an evaluation required prior to treatment?
Yes, all new clients need an evaluation prior to treatment to ensure an appropriate treatment plan, recommendations, referals, and diagnosis. However, if an evaluation has been completed within the last 5 months upon starting treatment, an evaluation may not be needed.
How do I know if my child requires speech and language therapy?
Your child may benefit from speech and language services if you have answered "yes" to any of the following questions:
Is/was my child late in meeting developmental milestones?
Is/was my child having difficulty with understanding language?
Is/was my child having difficulty with procuding certain sounds?
Am I able to understand more than 90% of what my child says?
Are others able to understand my child more than 80% of what my child says?
Is my child having difficulty with interacting with peers his/her age?
Has your child been diagnosed with any other condition that may put him/her at risk for speech and language delays or disorders?
How long does speech and language therapy take?
Speech and language therapy duration is highly individualized and determined by multiple factors including: severity of disorder/delay, motivation of client and family, responsiveness to therapy, follow through with carry over tasks in the home, and many more.
